Home-remedies for dry and damaged hair

Irrespective of seasons, some people hair will face problems of hair fall, dandruff, dryness of hair,will be totally damaged. At this situation, these inexpensive at home tricks will condition your brittle, dried out locks, leaving you with gorgeous, healthy hair.

For soft hair:

If your is more rough then apply bottle guard juice for your hair and leave for half-an-hour . Then wash it off with lukewarm water with a shampoo having less chemicals. If not take a banana puree, 1/4th cup milk, 1 spoon honey. Mix them together and apply to the hair and wash it off. For best results repeat it once in a week. Many think that if they head bath everyday the hair may be neat and clean, but it is 0% correct and the hair becomes rough if you do like that. Head bath must be done once for 3-4 days. Before head bath lukewarm oil must be applied to your hair and it must be washed away by a smooth shampoo.


Gain proteins:

Loss of moisture to your hair also damages your hair causing roughness. At this situation mix thoroughly egg white with yogurt and apply to your hair. After 20 minutes wash with lukewarm water. For best results repeat it once in a week.


Massage in butter:

Try this home remedy: treat dry, brittle hair with a small amount of butter for a glossy shine. Massage it into your dry hair, then cover your hair with a shower cap for about a half hour. Shampoo as usual, and rinse all the butter out.


Condition with olive oil:

Put the moisture back into dry hair by warming up 1/2 cup olive oil (do not boil it), and then rubbing it into your hair. Cover tresses with a plastic bag, then wrap everything in a towel. Let this home remedy do its thing for 45 minutes, then shampoo and completely rinse.



Beer works as an excellent hair conditioner. The protein in beer helps repair damaged hair cuticles and nourish hair follicles, which in turn makes your hair shiny and smooth.

  • Shampoo your hair as usual and then spray a small amount of beer onto your hair. Allow your hair to dry on its own. When it is dry, your hair will look smooth and shiny.
  • You can also spray beer onto your hair before blow drying or styling your hair.

Note: The smell of beer will not remain on your hair if you let your hair dry naturally.


Rinse with Tea:

To give a natural shine to dry hair, use a quart of warm, unsweetened tea (freshly brewed or instant) as a final rinse after your regular shampoo. Tea can enhance hair color, so make sure to use a tea that works with your hair color. Blondes should use chamomile tea; black tea may darken their tresses. Brunettes should use black tea to enhance shine and enrich color.


Treat with botanical oils:

Available at health food stores, olive, jojoba, and sweet almond oils are all wonderful elixirs for damaged hair. If your hair is thick and heavy, coconut oil works well. Dampen your hair and apply small amounts of the botanical oil until your hair is thoroughly covered. Top off with shower cap and warm towel for about 30 minutes, then rinse and shampoo your hair out.
