Barack Obama’s wife accompanied him in their much awaited visit to India this morning and the first lady chose to sport an Indian designer’s number!
The day of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s big arrival is finally here! The nation was eagerly awaiting the presence of the US President and the First Lady. Obama and Michelle landed in Delhi this morning and received a warm welcome by PM Narendra Modi. While the warm hug shared by Modi and Obama couldn’t go unnoticed, Michelle Obama’s outfit caught our immediate attention as well. The First Lady was seen wearing an outfit by Indian designer Bibhu Mohapatra! The designer tweeted about the same and also put up a picture on his Instagram account.
The Spring poppy print coat and dress she was seen wearing has been designed by Indian designer Bibhu Mohapatra. This isn’t the first time Michelle has sported a dress by the 42 year old Indian- American, as she was seen wearing a dress from his collection at the Jay Leno Show as well. Barck Obama’s wifey looked chic and stylish in the dress, which she teamed with a pair of black pumps and a cape coat. The monochrome knee length dress with blue floral motifs works quite well on the First Lady doesn’t it?
For the uninitiated, Bibhu Mohapatra is a celebrated designer who has styled the likes of Bollywood’s fashionista Sonam Kapoor and leading actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.
